Veteran Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ram Naik was today confirmed as Governor of Uttar Pradesh.
Boss Justice of the Allahabad High Court, D.y. Chandrachud, directed the vow of office and mystery to Naik.
Naik, a previous union clergyman had served as the petroleum serve in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee-headed NDA government.
Dr. Qureshi, who is the Governor of Uttarakhand, was given the extra charge of Uttar Pradesh after the renunciation of B.l. Joshi in June.
