Budget: Mamta says 'Budget of the FDI, by the FDI and for the FDI'

Blaming the Narendra Modi administration for harboring "political quarrel", West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee Thursday termed Finance Minister Arun Jaitley's first Union Budget as "visionless, missionless and actionless", and one that has been introduced by a "government of the FDI, by the FDI and for the FDI".

"The budget is visionless, missionless and actionless. It will not stimulate growth and development of the poor," Mamata told an authoritative gathering in Birbhum.

Blaming the Center for political feud, Mamata said, "Morning shows the day. After rail budget, Bengal and several other states have been deprived in the Union Budget too".

"It seems the BJP does not consider the people of Bengal as human beings. The BJP is doing exactly what the UPA-II had done. The BJP government must remember that people of Bengal will not starve. We know how to survive. We will never bow our heads for alms," she included.
