She said 19 human rights courts were established along with eight CBI courts, 46 courts for women and 88 fast tracks courts were working in the state. The budgetary demands amounting to Rs 4919,69,72,000 crore were passed by the house by voice vote.
The Chief Minister said 23,818 incidents of crime against women were directly recorded at police stations in 2013 as against 24,590 cases reported in 2012. The government had decided to set up 65 women police stations in a phased manner, Banerjee said while replying to the debate on budgetary demands for grants for the home department held by her.
