Former England Test bowler Robin Jackman has portrayed Morne Morkel as one of the best help bowlers he has seen.
Sport24 cited Jackman, now a shrewd expert of international cricket, as saying that Morkel was the ideal foil to Dale Steyn amid the first Galle Test against Sri Lanka.
It possibly reviewed that Morkel completed with a match-pull of seven for 78, while Steyn caught nine for 99 in the first Test to set up a determined 153-run win for South Africa against Sri Lanka.
Jackman said that Dale Steyn was the Rolls Royce of great bowlers, yet required the support of Morkel to see the side through.
