General Secretary Tariq Anwar on Sunday said that the Indian government
should talk to government of Pakistan about the ceasefire violation by
them, on border.
Anwar told ANI, "At the time of taking oath Prime Minister mentioned that if there is any happening from Pakistan then India will answer them back. But I cannot see anything of that sort happening. Pakistan is adamant."
"The present government should talk to Pakistan strictly and should be pressurized about the fact that if they keep doing such things on border then they will have to face serious consequences," he added.
Disappointed by Modi government's silence over ceasefire violation by Pakistan on border, Congress leader Rashid Alvi told ANI, "This behavior of Pakistan is not new. It is adamant on its behavior. Till the time they are not taught a lesson, they will keep doing such activities."
"Before coming to power government had a different
language but now they are just watching the action happen. People are
disheartened by the government's behavior," he added.
Reportedly, heavy firing took place at border villages including Gharna, Sai, Kaku De Kothey and Pindi villages. Due to landing of some mortar shells in the residential areas some animals died and some were left injured as well.
Pakistan had targeted an Indian post in the same area on July 16 as well wherein an Indian soldier died and three others were injured. (ANI)
