Goalpara Superintendent of Police (SP) Nitul Gogoi said here on Wednesday that revolts associated to the United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA) could be in charge of the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) impact in the area at the beginning of today in which one individual was killed and three others were harmed.
"ULFA might be responsible for today's blast; yesterday also we held a campaign against them and caught many of their members," said Gogoi.
The impact happened close to the Krishnai Police Station at 8 a.m. today.
The dead individual has been recognized as Rehman. The three harmed have been recognized as Akhtar Hussain, Kashimuddin and Jehrul Islam individually, out of whom one is a child.
