Vidya Balan, who regularly gets fascinating scripts from Southern movie producers, has not had the capacity to work in their films because of absence of arranging. The performer, in any case, is confident of working in the vernacular medium in future.
The 36-year old, who cut a specialty for herself in the Hindi film industry with her execution in movies, for example, Parineeta, Paa, Ishqiya and Kahaani, is quick to extend her mindset as an on-screen character.
"I keep getting offers from Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Marathi, Bengali filmmakers. I have been excited by scripts in Marathi, Bengali and Malayalam, but they don't plan well in advance so the dates don't match," Vidya told IANS.
"Some scripts I have really liked but because of time I have not been able to do them, but hopefully, sometime in future I will do an interesting film in any one of the languages.
"Tamil and Telugu filmmakers have not yet offered me exciting roles, honestly which is why I am looking forward to do Malayali and Bengali films. I always look forward to an exciting film," she included.
Presently seen as an investigator in Bobby Jasoos, the performer is euphoric that lady driven movies are doing admirably in the cinema world.
"It's fantastic if a good film works as you feel good. It's not about every woman-centric film working; a good film will always work. It's not that easy for women centric films to get good opening, but if it works it's a huge thing.
"I always say that good films will definitely work. Queen and Kahaani have both set examples."
