YRF Entertainment, the global arm of Indian generation goliath Yash Raj Films Friday affirmed that it will change the basically acclaimed and financially effective Sujoy Ghosh-steered and Vidya Balan-starrer "Kahaani" for worldwide gatherings of people as "Deity".
The change will be steered by Niels Arden Oplev of "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" notoriety, while Jose Rivera ("The Motorcycle Diaries") and Richard Regen ("Tehran"), have scripted the adjustment.
"Divinity" is a thriller about an American lady who goes to Kolkata looking for her missing spouse. As she gets closer to reality, she ends up at the inside of an unsafe scheme. The story unfolds in the setting of a bright, week-long celebration.
The global film will be financed and delivered by YRF Entertainment, and begins creation in February 2015. It will be shot on area in Kolkata.
Oplev ensures that the motion picture will be a propelling and energizing thriller with unpredictable and fascinating characters.
"A neo-realistic style to story and images will take the audience deep into Kolkata many different levels. A fascinating clash between American and Indian culture," Oplev said in an announcement.
Uday Chopra, CEO, YRF Entertainment, is sure that Niels is "the ideal executive to change the request of "Kahaani" to 'Deity'".
