According to the National Games Secretariat in Kerala, Rs 611.3 crore is evaluated to be the monetary allowance for organizing the tremendously anticipated occasion, booked to be conducted from January 31 to February 14 next. Of this Rs 213.28 crore has been reserved for building and updating of stadiam.
While Rs 35 crore has been separate for buy of gear, Rs 60 crore is, no doubt used on the "Recreations Village," conceived for the accommodation of over 5000 sportspersons at once.
Construction of nine new stadiums of international benchmarks is underway in diverse parts of the state while the upgradation of various existing offices, including two swimming pools and seven indoor stadiam, is quick progressing for the 35th edition of the multi-sporting occasion. The state is hosting the occasion after a hole of 27 years.
A squash court, shooting reach and hockey turf are also being developed for the amusements.
