There are 12.9 crore ladies laborers according to National Sample Survey Office (NSSO) study led in 2011-12, administration today told the Lok Sabha.
"As per the survey results, the number of women workers was 12.9 crore during 2011-12," Minister of State for Labor and Employment Vishnu Deo Sai told Lok Sabha in a composed answer. According to the NSSO overview in 2012, while 23.9 for every penny ladies, who were graduates or more, were working in urban territories, only 2.4 for every penny in the same catagory were working in country regions.
Thus, 57 for every penny non-educated ladies were working in country ranges according to 2011-12 study while 27.1 for every penny of such ladies specialists were occupied with urban zones. While 21.8 for every penny of ladies who were proficient and had considered upto essential level were occupied with country segment, 19 for every penny were occupied with urban part in the same classification.
The NSSO overview of 2011-12 additionally demonstrates that while 56.1 for every penny of ladies were independently employed, 12.7 for every penny were customary pay specialists and 31.2 for every penny easy works.
Sai said that to upgrade the work power interest rate among ladies, his service is giving trainign to ladies through Itis, National Vocational Training Institutes, Regional Vocational Training Institutes for making them more employable.
"The National Council for Vocation Training has also enhanced the percentage of reservation for women from 25 per cent to 30 per cent. A large number of women are being trained in modular employable skills under skill development initiatives scheme," Sai said.
Giving figures, the priest said the use for Prime Minister's Employment Generation Program (PMEGP) throughout the previous three year was Rs 1010.23 crore, Rs 1228.44 crore and Rs 988.36 crore throughout 2011-12, 2012-13 and 2013-14.
He said that notwithstanding the current Itis, where ladies can persue professional preparing, there are eleven establishments being controlled by the focal government only for ladies which are in Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerela, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.
It has likewise been chosen to open eight new Regional Vocational Training Institutes for Women in Bihar, Goa, Himanchal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Tripura and Uttarakhand, the priest said.
