Underworld don Chhota Rajan's alleged operative, has been arrested from suburban Mulund and a country-made pistol was recovered from him, police said Friday. The
accused, identified as Vijay Mahadik alias Raju (32), was apprehended
last night at a bus stop near Airoli toll-naka in Mulund, a crime branch
officer said."After observing the man, it was confirmed that he was Mahadik, who was then overpowered by our men. Upon frisking, a country-made pistol, four live cartridges and two mobile phones were found in his possession," the officer said.
Acting on a tip-off, a trap was laid near Airoli toll naka off Eastern Express Highway when a man got down from an autorickshaw and stood at a bus stop, the officer said.
