Croatian club HNK Rijeka has rubbished Manchester City's claims that a player was racially misused amid an Under-21 amusement on Tuesday, calling it 'baseless'.
Rijeka said that they plainly and unequivocally reject City's claim that Seko Fofana was mishandled by a player from their club in a neighborly match.
City strolled off against the club and the match was deserted, yet Rijeka said that the English club's mentor Patrick Vieira's choice to take his side off was strange, The BBC reported. Nonetheless, City is sure the Croatian side has a case to reply.
Authorities from the 2013 Premier League champions would identify with institute mentor Vieira and 20-year-old French midfielder Fofana before choosing whether to make a dissention.
Fofana was sent off for an off-the-ball challenge in a matter of seconds before half-time, and afterward made the assertions which prompted the players leaving the field.
On Wednesday Rijeka said that they completely dismisses any probability that the players at the match against City took part in attacking the opponent players on racial, religious or ethnic grounds.
The Croatian club included that they are astounded by the disagreeably savage and outlandish imputations of which they have been charged and that they totally dismiss. (ANI)
